  The American Jewelry Institute's mission is to provide the public and the jewelry industry with accurate
and unbiased information relating to fine jewelry, gems and timepieces. We deliver products and services
that will enhance the understanding of fine jewelry and its ownership. We strive to educate and serve the
public ethically and without bias. We endeavor to better the jewelry industry on the whole by promoting the
highest level of stewardship in those we train and consult with. The pursuit of knowledge, ethical conduct and
a passion for our field of expertise are the cornerstones of our business.

Appraising:

 Our industry professionals can provide you with appraisals on all of  your fine jewelry , gems and timepieces
for a variety of purposes. Our services utilize the latest technology to allow us to produce appraisals of your
most precious jewelry while you wait in most cases. Appraisals for larger estates can be performed at the
location of your choice. Evaluations have been performed at client's homes, banks or attorney's offices.

 Corporate clients can host a live one day appraisal event conducted at your stores location by our certified
graduate gemologists. This is an excellent way to expand the services offered to your valued customers. 
Gemological evaluation "Certifications" can also be performed for items in your inventory. This is an
invaluable service in today's uncertain marketplace.

 Training: 

The American Jewelry Institute offers diamond buying seminars and gemological workshops at our Atlanta
location. Training seminars for industry professionals including, gem labs are available at various locations.

Consulting:

  Consumers can benefit from our experience by retaining one of our professionals to assist you with your next
purchase. Sellers of fine jewelry may consult with us in order to make an educated decision well selling
jewelry. We do not buy or sell jewelry directly but we can consult with you eliminating much of the mystery
around this process. We offer corporate consulting to small and large businesses. Our consulting services
included : buyer consults, merchandising strategies and employee training.

O u r  H i s t o r y

The American Jewelry Institute was formed in 1999 by president and CEO Richard J. Malerba, G.G., Member NAJA.  The company represents the culmination of many years of experience in various aspects of the jewelry industry. We have changed the scope of the business throughout the years. In 1999 the company was involved in a larger educational endeavor. Today the educational component centers on workshops, buyers seminars and corporate training while the consulting operation focusses on advising buyers and sellers. The gemological services of the company have grown to become the center piece of the business. Capital investment and the hiring of quality gemologists has propelled the American Jewelry Institute to new heights. We would like to thank all of our past and future clients.
